Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By using Vlkea Parse ("the Service"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Vlkea Parse is a document conversion service that connects to your cloud storage accounts (Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox), monitors folders you select, and converts documents to Markdown format. The Service is provided via a web dashboard, REST API, and MCP server.

3. Accounts

You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.

4. Your Content

You retain all rights to your documents. Vlkea Parse does not claim ownership of any content you process through the Service. Documents are processed in memory and are not stored by Vlkea Parse. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to process documents you submit.

5. Cloud Storage Access

When you connect a cloud storage provider, you grant Vlkea Parse permission to read files from and write files to the folders you select. You can revoke this access at any time by disconnecting the provider in your account settings or revoking access in your cloud provider's security settings.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to process content that violates applicable law.
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits, quotas, or security measures.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
• Use the Service in a way that could damage, disable, or impair it.

7. Service Tiers and Limits

The Service offers free and paid tiers with different conversion limits. Vlkea Parse reserves the right to modify tier features and pricing with 30 days notice to existing paying customers.

8. Availability

Vlkea Parse is provided "as is." We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We are not liable for any loss resulting from service downtime or conversion errors.

9. Conversion Quality

Document conversion is best-effort. Complex layouts, scanned images, and non-standard formatting may not convert perfectly. Vlkea Parse does not guarantee that output Markdown will be identical to the source document.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time via account settings. All associated data, including OAuth tokens and usage history, will be permanently deleted. Vlkea Parse may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vlkea Parse shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Finland. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Helsinki, Finland.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users at least 14 days before they take effect.
